What kid doesn't love glow sticks? Seriously, they are a great thing to entertain little ones.

These glow sticks are so cool! We love the different colors. They last approximately a bit less than 12 hours but that is just fine for us. The tube comes with one hundred (100) glow sticks in five (5) different colors: blue, pink, green, yellow and orange.

Calling all my gardening readers! I received these new reusable plant ties to review and since the first day I got them I am sold! I love them. They have SO many uses. I normally use them for my raspberry plants, but you can use them for storing cables, holding loose objects together, hang stuff from hooks, they truly are awesome!

My grandma used to use zip ties for her Christmas decor, and since she is an older woman she sometimes place the ties in the wrong place and well she wastes a lot of ties plus it is double the work because she has to cut and dispose. Not anymore with these reusable ties. You messed up? Just untie it and move it to the correct position. That easy.

This is so exciting! I am in the backyard basically every day checking on the plants, fighting with pest like if I was a samurai and just enjoying how it has been taking shape.

Sooooo, since the last garden update this is what we have been up to:

We added some more seeds to our collection. And thanks to you all who voted for Mikey, he won a $25 GC from seedsnow.com to buy even more seeds!

All the seeds my little one got thanks to the gift card he won!

So far this is what our garden has:

Potatoes
Cucumbers
Bell Peppers (2 varieties)
Tomatoes (4 varieties)
Butternut Squash
Guatemalan Blue Banana Pumpkin
Carrots
Yellow Onions
Strawberries
Peas
Broccoli
Raspberries

Butternut Squash

Tomatoes

Carrot
*We started some more plants late in season: Spaghetti Squash, Cherokee Purple Tomato, Lettuce, Thyme, Basil, Cilantro and Oregano. And we are planning on making a herb garden in the front yard :)

But guys….  check out how much the backyard garden has changed:

Before

After
I must say, they need a bit of fertilizer. I've been having problems with pest and my soil (lacking of nutrients). When they were transplanted into the garden I used this fertilizer: BioMax Organic Fertilizer and it was great!

It helped tremendously. It was amazing! Now after about 10 weeks they need a bit of more juice :) and I am experimenting with different things, including compost tea. So you will probably see a worm farm soon lol!

Have you started your garden? What are you growing, if not, why not? I bet I can find a way to help you get started :)

Happy gardening!

So HERE IT IS!

Mothers' Day is around the corner, and if you haven't decided what you are going to get to that special mother yet, check this easy project!

A friend of mine taught me how to do these amazing Clothespin Family Plaques. She made them as gifts for friends and family, and I did the same (of course I asked first if I could do it and she was kind enough to tell me what I needed to buy to do it myself).

So here I am today to show you how you can make these great and unique portraits that everybody will love! (And little ones can help, which makes it extra special)

As you may know, we love outdoors. We would love to live in a remote place like the guys from Mountain Men. Seriously, we love the wilderness.
