PicGIF for Mac Review + Tutorial + Giveaway

I had the chance to review PicGIF for Mac by PearlMountain and I am excited tot ell you about it!

PicGIF is an app to create animated GIFs from photos and videos. Is is super easy to use and you can get creative with it.  You can create GIFs using photos and videos, you can edit existing GIFs too!

The app supports formats like: JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PNG, TGA, RAW, PIC, MOV, MPEG, MP4, M4V, 3GP, AVI, etc... and any image size.

I'm going to show you how easy it is to create an animated GIF and if you stay longer you may have a chance to win PicGIF for your Mac!

First thing, after installing your app you will add your photos clicking on the photo button at the top left corner. You can add one or multiple photos at the same time (WIN!). Your photos will appear in a line below where you can manage their position and organize them however you want to by only dragging them. At the right you will find three (3) tabs, which can be used to change properties of the GIF you are creating (See Photo 2 below) , add effects to the photos and edit text.

Next is the text. Just where the button to add photos is, look for the "T" and click on it to add text. Type whatever you want and choose the blue tab on the right side to edit your text's color, size, outline, shadow and font.

You can also add stickers too by clicking on the star icon. You can choose from their selection and also from your Finder.

To manage where and when your overlays (text and stickers) will appear, click on the Overlays button and a list of the overlays will appear on the left side of your screen. At the bottom of the column you will notice a box where you can edit and manage the selected overlay. That box gives you the option to tell in which photos the overlay is going to show, and you can even change its opacity to give a little more effect to the GIF.

When you are done, you can see a prevue by clicking "play" on the top/center, then when your GIF is ready you just click on the "Create GIF" button located at the top right corner of your screen. This will open the GIF in a small window aaaaaand it does not only give you he option to save to your computer, it gives you the option to share directly via email, iMessage (only available for Mac OS X 10.8 or above) or tumblr!

Isn't that great?!

Then the final product! A great and fun animated image. You can create lots of things, from photo presentations to jokes with celeb's photos and even easy-to-follow recipes!

Overall great app, easy to use, simple, nice variety of fonts, effects and overlays, works fast and has couple of sharing options (not only a "save" button) :)

My only suggestion would be that the fonts should be displayed in their style, so the person creating a GIF doesn't have to be clicking each font to see how it looks like.

I am definitely going to use the PicGIF App to create animated images to share easy recipes with y'all! I recommend it to everyone!
