EZ Grip Bike Light Review

The first time I had a bike light was thanks to LumenX and I was really satisfied with it. Loved and still love my LumenX Bike/Flashlight. This time I had the opportunity to review another bike light from LumenX and, again, they did not disappoint me!

The LumenX EZ Grip Bike Lights are extremely easy to install as the name calls (EZ). They have a rubber clip feature that fits around any handlebar, seat post or frame tube, and stays in place. The batteries are included, so you don't have to worry about that ;)

High quality LED lights with 90 lumens provide up to 150M visibility in the dark. Each light (white and red) has three (3) modes: constant, disco strobe (super fast lol) and epileptic fit strobe.

I absolutely love that these lights are compact so if you don't own a bike you can still use them in borrowed and rented bikes. When you are done using them you just unclip them and throw them in your pocket! That is how compact the LumenX EZ Grip Bike Lights are. I already plan to use them to go hiking, not only when I am bike riding :)

As always I am absolutely happy with this product from LumenX. The EZ Grips are a new great safety addition to our bikes. I definitely recommend it to everyone!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Priva and Zip & Block Anti Allergen and Waterproof Bed Products

Couple of weeks ago I was thinking I needed some anti-allergen and waterproof covers for our pillows.  Because Oh. Em. Gee. The freaking dust! I can clean every day, and every day I wipe a lot of dust off the glass tables! Which means that the ceiling fans and beds also get dust, and, of course, we wake up once in a while with runny nose because of it.

When I got approved to review the Zip and Block I got super excited! Just in time for us!

I received two (2) products from Zip & Block and one (1) from Priva which are (from left to right):

The Zip & Block encasings were the first thing I got out. I had two different types: Econo Block and Soft Block. Both of them offer the same protection against bed bugs, dust mites, pet dander, and mold spore allergies. They are breathable, but still protects from allergen molecules of less than 1.0 microns. Being waterproof is a great thing, my husband sweats a lot and thanks to this encasing his sweat is not absorbed by our pillows (which are latex foam).

Both blocks, soft and econo, have interior zipper flaps so you never pinch the pillow with the zipper! The only difference between these two is, of course, the texture. The econo block, being a bit more rough makes it a bit noisy if you move too much and feels kind of odd (like a paper feel) when you use it the fist time.

The sod block is just as soft and quiet as a regular pillow case.

Although the boxes were marked as different sizes (standard and queen) when I took them out of the case they were both the same size. They were a bit big for a standard pillow so I guess they were both queen size, but I am not sure.

See? They don't look too big nor too tight on my standard pillows.

Now to the Priva Premium Sheet Protector.

Our kid is potty trained, but during the night he is like an open faucet. It doesn't matter if he goes potty before bed, he will pee so much that it saturates the "night time" diaper and wets the bed. Of course there is nothing more fun than changing all the sheets and pillows, and cleaning mattresses at three in the morning. And then, pillows smelling like pee that I have to throw in the garbage because I tried to wash them and I messed them up… ugh!

This Premium Sheet Protector saved my sleep. It has a soft top layer and the vinyl layer on the bottom, so my toddler is comfortable while sleeping on it, because it feels like a quilt.

The cover I received has no flaps to make it stay in place, but Priva has one with flaps that you could also buy.

It fits nicely on in his crib and it's been so much easier to just removed the pad and continue to sleep when he has accidents! Now he's mattress and his pillow are protected from any liquid and I am glad!

Overall I would recommend these three products to everyone. It has helped a lot with our allergies because the dust is not coming into the pillows, you can wash them and put them back on the pillows.  The sheet cover is great for little kids and even for adults with urine incontinence. (Did I mentioned that I had one of those disposable pads under my sheets when I was like 8+  months pregnant? I was afraid that my water was going to brake and your know…. haha! So, yeah it works for that too! haha)

Ark Survival Seeds Review | Part I

I love gardening and I love anything that has to do with prepping. Of course, I am not extreme about the prepping thing like those in the TV show, but we talk about emergency plans and emergency gear.

I have lived my entire life in apartments, and I love it. Until now that I want to have my own garden. We made an offer for a house with a big backyard and I am crossing my fingers to get it! Can't wait to start my garden now that I am ready with my Ark Survival Seeds.

I received my package from Ark Survival couple of days ago and now I am even more excited to get a house with my own backyard to start planting. I would love to decrease my trips to the grocery store and increase the saving ($$) :)

Peanut Butter & Banana Popsicles

I'm not a fan of peanut butter, but I started eating bananas with it when working out. Now, I like it, but only with bananas (or chocolate of course ;)

Since today is Popsicle Sunday here it is…

Peanut Butter and Banana Popsicles! For my surprise not only my kid, but I, liked them a LOT! :)

This recipe is from the Detoxinista's Peanut Butter Banana Ice Pops. I only used large ripe bananas (two, organic), peanut butter (two TBS, organic) and about a teaspoon of honey.

If you try them, I hope you like it! :)

Bamboo Cutting Boards Set Review

I love the look of bamboo and wood items. So when I got notified I was approved to review this Thick Bamboo Cutting Board Set I was already planning on the things I was going to do with it! (Besides chopping veggies and cutting meat, I would use it as photo props :)

When I received them, they looked perfect. They were smooth, beautiful color and not weird smells… They came wrapped in plastic paper and secured with a cute string.

Off I went to start using them. I absolutely love how the bamboo looks, and the different sizes is my favorite feature of this item. The three sizes included in this Thick Bamboo Cutting Board Set are:

- Small: 8" x 6"
- Medium: 11" x 8.5"
- Large: 13" x 9.5"

These Thick Bamboo Cutting Boards are light, eco-friendly and biodegradable. Their size and thickness are great for cutting veggies, fruits and/or meats.  Less porous, which means that there is less space for bacteria to get trapped, and the rounded corners are great because it won't scratch you when you try to take it in and out of the storage place. The contrast of the two bamboo tones is gorgeous and makes it more stylish!

The only thing I have noticed is that with use, and even using some mineral oil to keep them like new, they have started to peel a bit in really thin strings. I don't know how they will perform in the weeks to come, but that is what I have seen after 4 weeks of almost daily use.

The Thick Bamboo Cutting Boards are a great gift. They would be a nice house warming gift for a new home buyer, or even a just because gift for anyone!
