When I was fifteen years old I traveled to Europe as part of an "art appreciation" student trip. I was pretty immature by the time so I didn't appreciate the architecture as much as I should have, but I definitely appreciated the food!

I remember buying lots of sweets and snacks to take with me to Puerto Rico (where I used to live) because they were so delicious I didn't want to stop eating them… But when I ate the last one couple of weeks after returning home, it was tragedy. No more delicious Belgium chocolates, or cheeses from the Netherlands… tragedy…

Easy Zucchini Noodles (Zoodles)

I've been wanting to make vegetable noodles for a long time now. I want to cut pastas (well, I really wish I could completely, but I LOVE pasta so much though) and get a low-carb alternative. Thanks to Danielle from The Lean Clean Eating Machine I made my first "zoodles" (zucchini noodles), and they were delicious!

My husband is a picky eater, so I made the sacrifice to eat both portions haha!

Bamboo Style's 6 Piece Bamboo Cooking Utensils Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I had the opportunity to review the Bamboo Style's Bamboo 6 Piece Cooking Utensils and I was really excited about it. I read couple of reviews on Amazon about them, and people were complaining…

I really don't know why because as soon as I received them, I opened the box and they were undamaged, clean and complete.

Chuck Roast Recipe

Here is one of my husband's favorite meals (well, he has lots of favorite meals and you will notice haha) The first time we tried it was in 2012, while staying at a friend's house. He immediately fell in love with the roast, so I decided to start making it at home. At the end of the day it is easy and delicious, so why not?!

After trying and trying, I finally found the perfect setting on the oven and the right amount of ingredients to get this juicy, flavorful and tender meat out of my kitchen.

Oh and did I tell you about the carrots and potatoes??? Oh Em Gee! Love it, love it, love it!

But, the thing that I really really like the most about this recipe is the level of difficulty…. SUPER EASY!

SuperSwizz Spiral Slicer Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I had the opportunity to try the SuperSwizz Spriral Slicer for a review.

I received it the very next day I ordered it thanks to Amazon Prime.

I really like the compact size, it is small enough to fit in my kitchen drawer. So I don't have to be worried about where I'm gonna place it in the kitchen before buying it ;)

The SuperSwizz Spiral Slicer has two julienne settings and it is ideal to make vegetable pastas. If you are looking for a low-carb alternative to pastas you should consider a product like this and make some zucchini and squash noodles.

Crema de Maiz

As a puerto rican my nana used to make hot cereal for breakfast every day. One of my favorites was Crema de Maiz (Yellow Corn Meal).

My nana was from a really poor family, which made her learn to cook with the most simple ingredients (and only few), yet she had the ability to develop the most flavorful food on earth! I always said: "The oldest the person, the better they cook!" (No offense mom!)

Crema de Maiz is really simple to make. It's been more than 2 years since the last time I had it. Thanks to my BFF, who sent me a bag because I haven't found the one I like here, now my son has the opportunity to taste a bit of my childhood too.

Cassani Fogless Shower Mirror Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

It never crossed my mind to have a mirror in the shower. I am used to having a mirror with the sink, and that is the one I use when I wash my face with my cleanser. I like to be able to see my face while I clean it, so there was no other option than the sink area because there is no mirror in the shower, and worst? All my mirrors would fog instantly after turning on the hot water.

Same thing with my husband. He shaves in the sink area and there's hair everywhere when he finishes. Wouldn't it be better if you could shave and shower in the same place and avoid all the mess?

Well, check this out!

I had the opportunity to review the Cassani Fogless Shower Mirror. The main idea of the mirror is to achieve a flawless shave every time.

How is this possible?, you may ask. Well according to them, these are the pros of the shower mirror for shaving:

Crochet Flower Tutorial

When I was four months pregnant, my husband and I moved from Puerto Rico to South Dakota. I got a part time job (which I absolutely LOVED and now I miss), but when I was home alone I had nothing to do (besides chores), so I decided to teach myself how to crochet.

My first project was a newborn hat and it wasn't that bad. The only thing about the newborn hat was that it never fit the newborn until he was like 2-3 months haha! But it was cute…
